In This Role, You Will
- Assist in preparation of schedules, analysis, and recording of journal entries related to General Accounting and Property Accounting
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Maintain compliance with internal SOX controls
- Participate in the preparation of the financial statements and related schedules for the monthly financial package and quarterly SEC filings
- Compile monthly and quarterly variance analyses
- Assist in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
What We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- One (1) – two (2) years of public accounting experience preferred
- Experience in the oil & gas industry along with SOX compliance preferred
- Precise computation skills and rapid problem-solving ability
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial/operational understanding
- Highly developed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
- Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a small team environment
Salary: $80 – $95K
