In This Role, You Will

•  Assist in preparation of schedules, analysis, and recording of journal entries related to General Accounting and Property Accounting
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Maintain compliance with internal SOX controls
• Participate in the preparation of the financial statements and related schedules for the monthly financial package and quarterly SEC filings
• Compile monthly and quarterly variance analyses
• Assist in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

What We Require

•  Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• One (1) – two (2) years of public accounting experience preferred
• Experience in the oil & gas industry along with SOX compliance preferred
• Precise computation skills and rapid problem-solving ability
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial/operational understanding
• Highly developed knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
• Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a small team environment

Salary:  $80 – $95K

Location:  Downtown
